FarmLife™ Content Program Wins 14 Awards in 2017 American Agricultural Editors’ Association Communication Awards Program

Advanced Content by Red Barn Media Group is proud to announce that its FarmLife content program, produced for AGCO, took home 14 awards at the 2017 Agricultural Media Summit in the American Agricultural Editors’ Association (AAEA) Communications Awards program.

The program recognizes the top work from agricultural writers, designers, photographers and marketing communication professionals from across North America. Panels of experts judged some 1,100 entries in five categories: MarComm (Marketing Communications), Digital & Social Media, Writing, Design and Photography.

The AGCO FarmLife Social Media entry won first place in the Digital & Social Media/Publishing Social Media category among all agricultural publications that entered, with the judges saying: “The results speak for themselves. Users are engaged and being successfully driven back to the website. This could be the playbook for how to repurpose content for social platforms.”

In the Design Division Web Design category for both commercial and custom publications, content on took both first and second place. Rounding out the first-place awards were a FarmLife cover photo and a single-page editorial design, both by Jamie Cole of Red Barn Media Group.

The top-ranked entries follow the success of the content program in North America’s premiere agricultural journalism competition. In the past five years, writers, photographers and designers at Red Barn Media Group have captured all five major awards in the program (Writer of the Year, Designer of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Story of the Year and Photo of the Year)—some of them multiple times—the only media outlet to do so.
